Nothing I'm going to talk about willingly in the open...

Got it.

But I do talk a lot about a lot, so... It's pretty much fine.

What are somethings that you like? Like are you into Tech or gaming? I guess my thing is talking to people online and answering questions on reddit

I like metal, working with metal, welding it, shaping it, creating things with it.

I like food. I tend to cook simple meals that are surprisingly tasty and use a minimum of cookware since I hate washing dishes.

I like music, but, my tastes are roughly drawn around Bach, Weird AL and trash EDM.

I like electronics but am terrible at coding.

I read a lot of scifi and fantasy. I'm even writing some more, too.

IMO, welding is one of the most useful skills on the planet.

the combination of welding, basic electronics, and C programming open up incredible possibilities

I agree.

I'm trying to learn the other two you listed, but it turns out that I'm terrible at programming. Lol

its been one of my biggest frustrations. ive enjoyed being able to get unfairly good at alot of things really quickly for most of my life.

except programming. it kicks my ass in embarrassing ways.

Exactly!

Those are really cool man! Can you make a sword if you wanted to?

Yes, though I don't have the tools to dry that yet. (Yet!)

Dam that's awesome! What about a gun?

Been there, done that. Ammo is a bit harder since I don't know all the chemistry, but, if I had a recipe, I could.

I like talking about cameras and photography but it seems like the only people interested in it are online these days.

That's really cool! I remember digital cameras use to be a thing before or phones got all advanced.

What about school? If you are in school that is. Have you thought of maybe joining a photography club?

What kinda stuff do you like to take pictures of? Or that inspires you

I’ve been out of school for a long time lol. I used to be in photo groups on Twitter and Facebook but I’ve since left those networks.

I like nature and landscape photography. I don’t get out much in summers but fall and winter I get out more and hike with a camera.

Oooooohhh I like that. Are you gunna go out during this holiday season to take photos?

Is it going to get cold where you are at all?

I probably will. I like hiking in the snow and it makes forests nice and peaceful.

It gets cold but not too bad 20s-30s degrees F. I’ve lived in colder places.

I feel you, not even AI wants to talk about it.

The other day I asked ChatGPT to give me a recipe for home made fixer and basically it told me to fuck off. I mean what about Asimov's second law ffs?

That’s annoying. I don’t develop my own film but know quite a few people on other social medias who tend to be pretty helpful with that kind of stuff.

Yeah, it's just an old dormant hobby of mine I was thinking to pick it up again and it's just occured to me if AI is ready to help but no. 😂 I might end up on some forum somewhere.

Have you ever been on a photography meetup or conference? I had the chance to visit as few and I liked it a lot so I recommend it.

I'm also a bit like nostr:npub1q6ya7kz84rfnw6yjmg5kyttuplwpauv43a9ug3cajztx4g0v48eqhtt3sh since i don't talk about things often I feel little unconfortable about it.

I'm also terrible at conversations but I try to change that hence this reply.

It's not that I'm uncomfortable talking about my favorite topic, it's just uncouth. I have a stellar reputation to uphold. Or something

I didn't want to put words into your mouth what I meant was just like you I also have a "good reason" not to talk that much whatever that reason might be. Formulating my thoughts has never been my strongsuit therefore I speak less setting of a doom loop.

Regarding your other post with the photo did you know that kaweco makes pens from tempered steel? I think they look pretty cool:
