It's not about "maybe its there and its irrelevant , let's forget about, small matter for now". It can become a very large and messy matter in no time. and permanent damage.

Because it is similar to saying -

" yes i'm mining bitcoin - that block with children getting raped" or

"yes, i am using bitcoins as money - that same bitcoin which that has permanent pictures and videos of thousands of child porns - kids that will be forever haunted"

Of course gov'ts will find a million reasons not to want bitcoin. Why hand them a free pass =)

It's like one cannot stop the sale of camera because someone can use it to take child porn. A permissionless network also meant it cannot be stopped. Since Satoshi time, text and pic can be inscripted into the blockchain.

They only make it easier to do now. Further, bad inscriptions are already there now. For excuse purposes, they only need one pic to call it illegal. There are probably some insults to some kings and prophets too. The boat has sailed.

Inscriptions while retarded are perfectly valid transactions. The bitcoin blockchain makes no value judgement on transactions.

it's not permanent as 51% can make the change. If anything, its democratic and pushes for a larger conversation to happen, ideally and naturally

I don't think Bitcoin is a screw you, too bad, done deal lol. Bitcoin doesn't work that way. It shouldn't. I remember reading in one of Satoshi's mail on leaving it to the people to determine the best way hence I don't think he is authoritarian.

You can capture child porn and nobody can stop you, but i do not want you to permanently inscribed it into Bitcoin block that I want as a global adoption of money. It's 2 different action

I would also not equate child rape and freedom of expression under other the same banner. But as I said, there are many alternatives to having a undisturbed freedom of speech - the side chains/ nth layers, nostr relays etc.

But it should not be on the main Bitcoin Blockchain if the goal is for Bitcoin as global monetary adoption / global reserve

51% cannot change bitcoin. Bitcoin cannot be subverted by a mere simple majority.
