So, I've been job hunting and decided to check out some of the job boards that are specific to digital currencies. It wasn't surprising to see mostly offers for "full stack devs" or "senior devs", but the realization that just scared me is that I have not seen a single posting, on any of the these job boards, for any quality assurance positions.

So, there's a bunch of people making financial software with no dedicated QA staff?

I think you've just found a niche in the market..do you have the skill set to fill it ??

Because if you do, you've just made bank. 😁😁

I do, but if there's no demand, my seven years with a QA title (much less my analyst roles) doesn't mean anything.

There's a difference between no demand, and none realising they need your services.

Can't hurt to ask, or even put yourself out there 🤷🏻‍♂️

If that's the case, then the question becomes, "Is my new employer willing to admit that they don't know what they're doing?". A company that makes software, (especially critical software) and doesn't know they need QA, is clueless about the industry they've entered. Places like that need a new CEO before they need anything else.
