Polio may have been on the decline but the vaccine helped ensure its destruction.. especially given the likelihood of survival without being crippled by it. Or being stuffed in an Iron Lung.

Horrible side effects, for sure!
Gene Simmons of KISS mentioned having polio in his biography.. he’s sure it stunted his growth by about a foot (his father was 7’ tall has are a couple of his half-siblings).
Now we have measles cases on the rise where complications include permanent deafness and death. It’s not worth a baby suffering any of that.
Now COVID and flu vaccines in a baby. FUCK that noise. Especially if you are nursing. The mom’s immune system will ensure the baby is OK.
The complications are a legitimate concern, as are the possible injuries that can come from vaccines. As well, vaccines don’t provide full or life long immunity. Shingles cases are on the rise in adults - predominantly in those that had the chicken pox vaccine as a child and never developed natural immunity from having chicken pox.
Actually I’m all for the chicken pox vaccine. Because shingles was DILDOS. BOTH times I got it. 🤣🤣 Since getting Shingrix I’ve had no issues again.
That said vaccines are a risk model … injury happens tho rare. But I’d have taken the polio vaccine gladly over suffering the side effects of injury from the disease or exposure to the public.
Jack Webb summed it up best.
