I like the idea that people are already using nostr without having any idea that they are.

I think eventually most Nostr users will be this way - no clue that they are part of a global protocol and network.

Linux of sociol protocols 😂

Sorry I’m new to this! In what way are people using it without knowing?

Relays and identity can be used for just about anything and people wouldn’t know it

Bitchat at the moment

Ahhh yes!

They’ll come for the vlogs

Just like Bitcoin

This has always been the way. Hyping up "nostr" because "nostr" can only go so far.

It's the products that elevate any protocol beyond the nerd gaze

Yes products

NWC is a good example

But It is centralized and insecure. you don’t know which relays they use, how they deal with the private key?

Huh? Do you understand what you’re saying? Or just saying random words?

Like to hearing more.

Do you hear freefrom client? I think this is the first nostr client without knowing nostr, intergrating their relays and media hosting. New user just create account and it works like a twitter app. It is not so popular though, maybe due to centralization and privacy

I agree to the point in which you stopped following me. Had no idea. Go NOSTR.

Not sure what this means

Just giving you shit. Keep Karnaging away, I’m listening.

That’s true definition of adoption

Do we have anything like a clear indication of how many people are using Bitchat?

Not that any of us can predict the future, but the evidence seems to be on your side.

Think of all the people who use the internet, but have no idea what TCP and IP are. Same for email and the underlying email protocols.

Successfully adopted protocols tend to become invisible to most end users.
