His belief in campaign promises is charming
“The state condemned a man to slow death, double life imprisonment. And we said, ‘no, you don't get to do that.’ We got to rewrite the rules of the game as the game was being played. And it shows that we don't have to just sit there and take it.” - nostr:npub1rtlqca8r6auyaw5n5h3l5422dm4sry5dzfee4696fqe8s6qgudks7djtfs with nostr:npub1hk0tv47ztd8kekngsuwwycje68umccjzqjr7xgjfqkm8ffcs53dqvv20pf and nostr:npub1cj8znuztfqkvq89pl8hceph0svvvqk0qay6nydgk9uyq7fhpfsgsqwrz4u

Would you like to take a bet on it?
Thanks but no. Life has enough uncertainty. I don’t add to it by betting.
Trump made some big promises before that went unfulfilled. Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. Lock her up. Drain the swamp. Etc.
I will be pleasantly surprised if Trump follows through on this one, and it will increase my confidence in his commitment going forward. But I’ll believe it when I see it.
It’s kinda weak to not take the bet. Just saying. I’m willing to put real value behind my opinion. If you won’t should I conclude that your opinion is valueless?

Agreed. 👍
The value proposition for prediction markets, in a nutshell.
Opinions expressed with conviction in the form of capital.
Like I said, I don’t bet. If sticking to my principles makes my opinion valueless to you, that’s ok with me. People have different preferences. 🤝
What gives you confidence in this particular campaign promise?
1. Definite and concrete promise
2. We (bitcoiners) fund raised heavily for him.
3. Second term presidents don’t face political blowback for pardons/clemency.
4. Trump will be pardoning many people early in his term (j6ers)
