This place was unreal. New Mexico feels like a citadel Schelling point. Year round sun. Low population density. Lots of room to ranch and build. Good hunting and timber prospects.
Wyoming is another great candidate. New Mexico politics seem like its biggest drawback.

My issue with Wyoming is it’s above the 37th parallel so the sun is inadequate for vitamin D synthesis half the year.
They have a pill for that
