Family members must accept your vision of the world. Like you have to accept theirs. You have to explain to them your motivations and your studies and try to make them understand the reason for these beliefs of yours. But there must always be mutual respect for other people's ideas. Especially those of your family. It's not easy. I know it very well. But that's how it is 🤷♂️😉🫶

Actually that mutual respect part is the most salient for me. I know plenty of friends and family write off my “freedom” as simply being greedy and selfish. And likewise when I hear them spouting off on economics, all I hear is “I’m a thief and I feel great about stealing from all productive people around me.” How do you nap mutual respect, or even just your own respect, in that setup?
Take out the judgement, we didn't all get to where we are now at the same time nor on the same path - keep looking at yourself first, blinders are notoriously hard to see in yourself...
