Dude. I've listened to a few arguments, watched a bunch of podcast, etc. In order to understand this. Non technical herr, and looking for a layman's version of what is logical.

Explain knots in laymen's terms vs. my v of core. Cuz I don't have to switch anything, and it works perfectly. And I can wait for this battle to settle out. And then make a decision.

waiting makes the most sense to me.

That's my opinion.

Yeah actually that's the best for now, wait and see. If they bring out a new version wait for a couple of weeks and we see what the consensus is.

For me I was already running Knots so I am happy to stay with it longer now. It is a plug and play replacement to Core. It was a fork of Core so it is very similar with a few extra improvements on filters and working with Datum server. Personally I initially installed it for mining through the Datum server.

But overall it is good with some competition to keep the core team a bit more responsible and accountable. Now they basically have a monopoly for bitcoin's development.

So I'm not a Miner. Except for my lotto ticket Bitaxe. 🤣

My understanding is that Datum deals with mining?

Yeah it deals with mining, it creates your own block templates. You can use it for solo mining and for mining more efficiently with Ocean's pool.

Good to know. Thinking of maybe setting up a Miner or 2 next winter for heat. Going to need to start investigating.

I just run two Avalon Nano for heating very small areas at home. If mining in a pool basically they cover half of their electricity cost. Better than nothing and getting some KYC free sats but dont expect to make any money from it. Now I have one solo mining just in case... 😅

I want to heat whole house. Approx 2500 ft. Suggestions?

Wow! That's ambitious!

I think there are some solutions with heating up water and circulating it to heat elements around the house. I would love to do that too!

Maybe. I'm thinking it's possible. Only question is how.
