Just found out about Bastyon and went to read their FAQ. So, not really pro free speech? Mob moderation can be just as bad as centralized moderation. The lottery thing sounds like recipe for chaos too. What if by some bad luck a bunch of pedos get mod? Also, so many of these blockchains claim to be censor-less, but they have turn off buttons literally ready to go. Nostr is fine, if you want to attach your shitty blockchain to it you can do it, no need to build a new network from scratch.

The whole thing sounds pointless anyway. Seems like a early group of users could just farm reputation between them and become the mods with said lottery.
It seems to be completely chained to their coin too. I think it's PoS on top of that. Bitcoiners and anti-crypto people will never accept that shit.

To be fair the idea behind LBRY, and now Arweave, seems to be better than this crap. It's almost like Nostr, you can build your app on top of it if you want. I think this Bastyon thing is completely inflexible since I saw shitcoiners saying it is better than Nostr because "you don't need to choose your app", lol.
In the end Bastyon and Bluesky will compete to see which one is worse lol
