I’m seriously warming up to zaps and reposts only—no “likes”. Let’s jettison the parts of the past that only feed the machine.

I recall using "like" for bookmarking on other places so that I can get back to it because it picked up my interest. Especially if the post includes a link or some further look and I don't have time on that moment.

It would be great if clients list down all posts I liked/zapped.

I think this is an example of a handful of use cases for likes that would need to be addressed in other ways in order to smooth the transition.

Yes, in that sense bookmark is a better name. As it shows I didn't approve the post yet by either like or zap.

And it doesn't need to be part of nostr protocol as a reaction. It can be a client feature only to prevent convoluting value4value based note rankings.
