I love the community I follow here on Nostr, Iβm currently following 996 npubs all with very diverse content.
Iβm not stuck inside an echo chamber like a lot of new users claim to be, & I think itβs cause Iβve curated my feed to not be. if I wanted to I couldβve easily only followed maxis but I didnβt, Nostr is much more than that if you acknowledge various hashtags n relays outside of that.
True, Bitcoin bros are great, I'm one and Bitcoin is great. But there's much more out there too.
Absolutely, Iβve learned more about lightning & protocols in the one year Iβve been here than the last 6-7 years since learning about bitcoin. But Iβve also learned a ton about a wide variety of topics!

Exactly weβre so early, most outsiders think this is only for bitcoiners!
I think this is something that we need to change if we ever want it to really be something. Most people think that it's just Bitcoin maxis and stuff still, tbh it kinda was in the beginning but it's evolving. If you search "Nostr" on X it's mostly just people mocking Nostr and Bitcoin because of the "Bitcoin stench" we have.
Do we have a need to be condescended to by fragile adherents of the great lie?
