Some GN thoughts (maybe a rant?) - Most of y’all don’t know that I’m a deeply political creature - and I’m not ashamed of this, I just simply don’t lead with it. Lol.

But what I am most certainly NOT is a partisan, and I will tell you why:

Before I dropped out of my PhD program I racked up 96 graduate hours in leadership studies and what I learned was politics is simply how power is distributed. I learned that I’m a pretty big proponent of power to the people, myself. The whole life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness meets freedom and justice for all is my vibe.

In George Washington’s farewell address he warns about partisanship as a form of political theater used by clever, ambitious men to swindle the public and subjugate us through the centralization of ‘values’.

Funny how they don’t teach that in schools, huh?

Think about how the different social media platforms are also like their own political parties that reward conformity and loyalty and funding more than individuality, freedom, and justice. Just think about the parallels between the big parties and the big platforms - not that one platform is aligned with one party but that they act the same in terms of shaping how we behave and in terms of distributing power.

#Nostr is democracy in social media form. You can hate me if you want. You know I’m right. Lol.

GN Nostr. Sweet dreams. 😘

fuck yea. i been sayin that the "politics" thats been on display for us over the last few generation is not actually politics. what the nostr devs are doing is doing is political af as much as they swear against politics.

Exactly 😎

This is just an ad for bitcoin and nostr. Many such cases

😎 this is the dawning of the age of Aquarius, age of Aquarius ♒️ 🎶

I like how you're thinking about it, but see it a little differently.

I view the nostr protocol as a platform without rulers. It works like how economist David Friedman describes in his book, The Machinery of Freedom.

Choosing a client is like choosing a stateless society on the Internet.

It's an alternative to the platforms which have developed a corporate government partnership.

I agree they parties want to shape our view of the world.

There is a big difference between politics and partisanship. At least the way that I define the term, politics is the study of the sum total of all human interactions, much like economics is the study of the sum total of all financial transactions. The way people use the term "politics" makes it sound like a bad thing, but it's not. It's just people talking and working with other people in order to communicate, share, learn from each other and accomplish goals. We don't have to agree with each other to do that, we just have to keep trying to do those things.

Communicate better, share more, learn new things from each other and accomplish unobtainable goals. That's how we grow.
