That’s actually very interesting. Because these sound more like capabilities rather than goals.
This is an important distinction, because if you are making your choices based on the capabilities, nostr might be your last choice for social media.
There is a great article on HBR by Michael Porter on Strategy, and the difference between strategy and operational effectiveness. I highly recommend you read it. I say this because you just picked operational effectiveness as a priority over strategy, which is not wrong, but not a sustainable competitive advantage. Here is a link: https://hbr.org/1996/11/what-is-strategy
I see nostr as a programming language, or maybe something higher, a framework might be a better description. One implementation of that framework is social media, and it might not be the best one for that if you are interested in operational effectiveness.
Yesterday someone proposed a voting system called TrueVote built using nostr as part of its workflow among other things. Thats really interesting, because it’s not being used at a level that is beyond just a “protocol”. Really not sure what to call it, I feel even framework is not the right word here.
It’s just fascinating to see this all evolve in front of our eyes.
Yes I’m excited for “other stuff” too. But I need a functional and reliable way to communicate first and foremost.
