A lot of ppl think being a landlord is just free easy money but that’s not really true. Especially if you rent to poor ppl.

There are systematic things which allow some landlords to abuse tenants (mostly on small scale/independent basis. But no, it’s very hard and even in higher income properties there is a lot of drug use, alcoholism and shitty people.
Once you get a 1am call where a tenants bathtub has filled up with shit because the main drain clogged because samolians love to put food down the drain, you lose most of your empathy…
