you're probably tired of repeating this, but it's actually valuable to hear. i'm in agreement with this, but it's so easy to forget.

If someone is struggling with psychosis, we don't treat them as if their psychosis is real. We try to help them out of it. My friends didn't "affirm" my psychosis, the only people who were close enough to understand my reality kept representing reality to me, and they were the path out of psychosis.

If they had affirmed it, it could trap me in my own problems. the temporary nature could have turned more permanent.

It's not a hateful message to represent reality to someone who's struggling to grasp reality. Well, it's important to come from people who aren't hateful.

that's why this it is important to tell the truth with love.
