Yes, the algorithm is very finnicky, I will be looking into that.
It's hard to get the balance right - replies show up in the feed sometimes but also they don't clog up repeated threads by appearing at every level separately.

I imagine it's a tough one. The scrolling experience still isn't good enough for me to get a reasonable time / reward ratio.
Something that would help enormously with all these links to see more discussion would be if it returned us to the same point in the list after having left and returned.
