A couple years ago, when the Russia-Ukraine war was still a new (ish) thing, I was talking with someone I know who is very left leaning, and very convinced that Russia was doomed. I told him 'no way - its going to use this to regain the military professionalism it has lost from disuse and become a real powerhouse.' He called Russia a paper tiger, then also called the US a paper tiger. Now, with a bit more time to see, it appears I was right. I'm still too polite to say it out loud, but I have to say it somewhere... I was right, and every media article about it in the whole world was wrong. Well... Russia media probably wasn't, but I'm not reading it.

What I really want to say to all lefties : aren't you tired of being wrong? Stop listening to the propaganda... Think for yourself. And give me cookie, I earned it.
