I just write on my desktop (easier) and copy/paste into Damus. But I think Damus works on desktop too on newer macs.

There are a ton of other desktop clients too if you’re limited to mobile with Damus.

Works like any long form post.

But now I’m thinking maybe it would be great to have a thread style client just for this purpose.

Thanks so much! I just dove right in without much thought, but this is great! Also, is there a place to find explanations of feature? For example, what is ‘Broadcast’?

This section for relays takes about broadcasting.

Tldr; clients send stuff to relays and relays send stuff back to clients. Depending on your setup (chosen relays) you may get some of the stuff or most of it.
