I’m still exploring the Nostr universe (Nostrvrs?)
I wrote a post on Primal and I don’t see it on other clients (like Damus, where I’m writing this). Is this a relay thing? Will the post show up everywhere in time?

Primal kinda sucks with its relay implementation and posts get stuck over there.

I also noticed that I could only set up zaps on Primal with the built-in wallet, not my Alby wallet. Seems a bit walled off over there
It looks like you don’t have any relays set up on Primal. Primal uses a different relay list than Damus. Damus is following an old spec and haven’t gotten around to using the new spec yet.
My guess is Primal only broadcasted the note to their relay. It will not automatically propagate to other relays.
