USSR was a lot less stable from the get go. It would be way more tragic for the USA to collapse. But it wouldn’t be as disastrous, since we have many competent state governments are fiscally responsible. But as long as a government is stealing purchasing power through fiat and pitting its citizens against each other, its days are numbered.
