I've come to the conclusion most people don't want decentralized communication. They want platforms that prioritize their beliefs and values. They probably don't want decentralized money, either, but they're gonna get it.

People are generally pretty utilitarian rather than principled. They care about the functionality of their tools more than how they work or how they are put together. The existence of MacDonald's proves that.
