It's a system which has lasted a long time.

On what basis are you saying it is terrible, everyone in the uk understands the system.

There is no perfect system, what suits one country might not suit another.

Except that NZ which is very much modeled on the UK switched to MMP and it works much better.

Thank you, I will read and consider. However I still believe it's very difficult to compare two different systems over the long term. Also the conditions prior to NZ's change will not necessarily be the same in the UK.
