If I'm being honest, what delights me the most about the win is the thought of millions of unproductive federal employees wondering if their jobs are on the chopping block.

For me its a chance at stopping the Slav Civil War, and the Palestine genocide.
Sadly, America doesn't stop wars, sir. We only start them.
Wars stop when everyone is dead.
I know this is the cynical, standard take.
I pray for a better outcome than that.
It is. It's also tragically, observably true. My point is that putting faith in a US president to stop a war is a path to disappointment. I would love to be proven wrong.
As Jill Stein put it, quite accurately, the anti-war movement goes to sleep when democrats are in power, so maybe… eventually worked with Vietnam. 🤞
You’re absolutely right on this take. Expecting a different outcome from this would be absurd at this point.
Would you agree:
p ( incoming leadership striking a peace deal ) >>> p ( current leadership striking a peace deal )
Call me cynical (fair), but I think the best we can do is to get the fuck out of other nations' conflicts and stop feeding the flames with American-made weapons.
I do not, however, believe that it is possible for any American politician to solve the seemingly intractable problem of Middle East peace.
if you’re being honest, that’s soooo horrible to have such a cruel attitude based in some origins of spite.
a malicious heart that wants to see millions of americans suffer.
amazing.
No, I want millions of Americans to get off their asses and get a real job contributing something of value and, in the process, earning a commensurate wage with the pride of knowing they earned it.
But you can also cry harder.
“Let them eat cake.”
