https://trisquel.info/ is pure GNU/Linux with the proprietary Linux kernel deblobbed. It is one of thr few dostros that does not include or recommend any propertiary software at all in its repositories. It is endorsed by the FSF and the only usable distro I trust. Its based on Ubuntu so very user friendly but everything nasty stripped away and way more lightweight than Ubuntu. Especially if you opt for trisquel mini with the lxde release.
