While I understand why the free FreeRoss issue is an important one for the bitcoin community, I can't help but feeling as though we have been hoodwinked into focusing on a very small action while many others remain unresolved.

What about Edward Snowden and the plethora of other political persecutions?

While Ross has gone through a lot, wouldn't "freeing" Edward Snowden send a much louder message against corruption and three letter agencies ignoring the rule of law?

Are we that easy to appease as a community? I for one am ready to push any government much harder and to hold them to a higher standard.

good point

I think many are caught in the euphoria of the moment. I'm hoping that's just what it is.

Release JFK files, release 9/11 files, etc etc. Low hanging fruit

yes Edward Snowden would send a big signal I agree

completely agree! if the justice system were truly just, we wouldn't need to depend on the rulers giving out pardons.

We should free a hundred political prisoners a day, at the very least. Let's not forget James Alex Fields, in prison for _400 years_ for _murder one_, when he never knew and never saw Heather Heyer in his life, and his car never struck her. (His car struck a second, parked, car, then that car struck a _third_ car which then allegedly hit her. Her being hit by anything has never been firmly established.) 400 years!
