The regulatory capture of bitcoin is a real threat to freedom of transaction.

Will be Intel Zonte on the 23rd and 24th of Oct. (This week). Pm me if you want to meet up

People don't participate in their political system enough. They think that voting once every four years is sufficient and all they have to do.

Yes, I know that's the case, but Banks stopped accepting transfers from Chivo. The word went around as well that Chivo no longer works or will no longer be supported. And so people just stopped accepting Bitcoin using Chivo.

And ATM is fine if you're withdrawing $100, but I'm talking to mounts that are slightly bigger here. My builder used to be able to go to his bank and transfer from his cheaper, but can't do that anymore without a substantial fee.

Just my observation on El Salvador and the IMF.

I'm currently in process of building the home in El Salvador. Though many will say that the IMF loan and the removal of Chivo and the revisions to the Bitcoin law have done very little to stop Bitcoin adoption there, I can state from firsthand experience that ever since Chivo stopped operating, it's been much more difficult for me to purchase and do business in El Salvador with bitcoin.

Chivo was a resounding success that just wasn't given enough time. I could literally go to anybody, a carpenter, a contractor, the windows guy and ask him if I could send him Bitcoin and they would all say yes because they had access to Chivo.

Yes, there are other apps like Blink, but the fees are astounding when individuals have to withdraw cash at a local bank. One local app that my contractor uses, for example, charges 1% to convert to USD and then there's a 1 to 2% fee when withdrawing at the local bank.

I'm building a house, so I regularly send them, say, $5,000, which translates to quite a bit of fees.

Just wanted to state firsthand how I think the IMF did in fact Dramatically slow down mainstream Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador.

Still a great country.

The fact that we're not even allowed to study any kind of opposing views to me is a giant red flag for this.

You don't censor because something is true. You censor because it's false and there's something you want to hide.

You know, I love this,, but you lose a lot of points at the end with that x link.

Please tell me you are lying...

I am interested but really need some hands on reviews to buy one. I have bought too many Linux phones that turn out not delivering.

Latest was the z23 from volaphone.

Also, Linux phones don't run Linux on bare metal, they have a android base that talks to the firmware under the Linux os (Ubuntu touch does this)

Is this different?

You could probably cut the staff by half. What I mean by this is all of the administrative functions that are taking place can be replaced by automated systems. These systems would need to be built so it's not something you could do by using existing software solutions.

in my government for an entire country Looking around me, I'm sure half of the staff could be let go. And systems would be more efficient.

I think the main gain here would be the opportunity for more transparency. That would be the real benefit.

You guys want to talk to someone who works for a government and has had enough?

I have worse to report.... Although I understand Google play store is now allowing self custodial wallets (they excluded those from their decision and backtracked?) The FATF standards bring into scope entities who "control or manage applications which allow users to hold virtual assets". Even if you haven't seen much evidence of this yet, it's there waiting to be enforced.

Its coming.

I have to admit this is going to be my best podcast interview thus far.

You asked some really good questions. Get off your honey behinds and stop shrugging at what the government is doing.
