You can't have both nostr and twitter. you need to go cold turkey.
You could, but thw moat difficult paet is to leave the negative and nihilist vibes there and don't get influenced by them so you'll not project things that X algos gave to you, back in nostr..

I also have some sources I follow on there because that's all they know and they definitely won't gonna switch.

I come from a very small country, therefore I don't get to choose from much sources about a certain topic in my native language like national meteorology service, and other stuff relating my region. But I get what you mean ✊

It was a trade off for me when I did, and it started more like a temporary challenge. After a month perhaps I found out I it wouldn't be temporary.
Everyone is different, but I can tell you just, give it a try, probably you'll have to find different ways to get same soirce of info and maybe you'll not find them on nostr at all.. but maybe it'll happen what happened to me, I discovered I didn't need to know or get informed as much and as often as I thought.
Everyone's case is different of course, I just wanted to share my personal case. Also there's very likely people that are successful in not getting drained and influenced by the negativity and X's nihilism.. I wasn't strong enough.
