ideally, sure. and men tie themselves in knots all the time desperately trying to align the two.
but humanity is messy. and the journey of life is not so black and white. if you, as a man, have not faced paradoxes, if you've never made hard decisions—let go of something you've desperately wanted, betrayed yourself, betrayed another, chose loyalty over self-preservation or over a goal, felt the sting of regret or the agony of shame, if you've never been faced with these gut-wrenching choices that illuminate your integrity—then have you ever truly lived..? :3
