My wife and I celebrate 3 years married today.

When we "met" she lived in northern Sweden and I was staying in Bozeman, Montana.

Our first date was over Facebook Messenger video chat and it lasted about 7 hours.

We went on to talk over 300 hours in the following days, delving into our psychometrics assessments, deal breakers, deal makers, our dreams and more. We enjoyed interacting.

68 days after our first date we got married at my parents house in Redding, California after she flew in.

Even though we were already getting married, after I picked her up in San Francisco, about halfway to Redding we found a gas station. It was raining. I proposed under cover of the gas station like Jim did to Pam in The Office, putting the ring on her finger.

After our honeymoon we moved to Sweden for 6 months, then return to the United States. We hit over 35 states since then, and for now have settled in Kingman, Arizona.

We still love and trust and respect each other, perhaps more now than ever. We enjoy each other's company and interactions. My life would be far different if she weren't in it, and I would marry her again in a heartbeat if I had it to do over again.

Marrying an awesome woman was one of the best things I've ever done.
