Better privacy.
Not all nostr clients supoort private dms that amethyst supports so you often have to fall back on non private dms.

Ok. But it is then rather for other operating systems then android, since I can do it via Amethyst.
But maybe your recipients don't use amethyst and don't support private messages and then you can't use private messages.
In 0xchat you know it's private by default...
