Subnostr

This is an interesting idea, but I wonder if this would just make Nostr more inefficient and cluttered as opposed to just having a directory of hashtags that people can reference.

I only just found out how to work the hashtags 🤣 I guess since it’s an open protocol people could start relays for any subjects/topics

Then there are only a few relays for a topic, which means centralization and censorship.

#hashtags need to get easier/smarter.

Remember when everything used to have folder structure, then instead it became tags? It has tradeoffs, but it was like moving from two dimensions into three.

The closest reddit has is cross-posting.

I think for now all we can do as users of the platform is to "help" each other by adding hashtags when OP forgets...

Perhaps there should be a whole new system instead of just leveraging knowledge of previous platforms. #reinventthewheel

True, maybe some AI.

But it has to stay decentralized and uncensored, or else the only benefit is "zaps"... so everyone just goes back to the other platforms.

Speaking of which, the other platforms could implement zaps in a heartbeat. Reddit already has lightning tips. If Twitter introduces zaps, Bitcoin wins, but Nostr loses (is my guess).
