#asknostr Reee: YouTube content moderation, video platforms

Noob question.... Are youtube's content moderation policies a sign of things to come to all video platforms? So they are anticipating this before being forced to implement? Or overcautious because of their size / reach / possible legal issues?

My real question is, are these same moderation policies going to come to youtube alts like odysee and rumble (there is the exception of Rumble apparently being banned in Brazil)? Youtube alts, who have up till now had 'good enough' moderation parameters to cater to video content creators who have been banned off YouTube? Obviously this would wipe them out of existence, no?

No. YouTube and all it is and all that it does is a symptom of how a huge corporate entity behaves and runs things.
