I was working in finance at the time. I thought this was our last chance to pop the bubble. I was naively hopeful. My personality in general is to be optimistic.
It wasn't until I read the white paper (years later) and went down the rabbit hole that things started coming together.
We we all hypnotized at some point, it's a slow painful process to break the spell
I was heavily influenced by a friend who was working on his campaign....Didn't do any research. Never really cared about politics in general. I haven't had a TV in years so I wasn't getting the usual programming.
