This is my personal opinion: The last election was falsified so I think they do everything (literally) to stop #Trump being the next President. This #assassination attempt failed, but still they can cheat with the votes, or there are other possibilities.

Based on just what I heard from my Texan friends if Trump will fail they prepare for a breakup with the progressive states and with it there will be no more United States.

I hope this won't happen because it's bad for everyone (except the top 1%), but I think if they cheat on the election this time too it won't go peacefully...

Texas can secede peacefully and even without formal declaration. Just stop enforcing federal laws and taxes. Unfortunately the response from the feds won’t be peaceful though.

Who would enforce the non-peaceful response, though?

Would have to be done through some bureaucratic pressures, not with the boots on the ground, imo.

I don’t think they’d have any problem finding people who’d love to strap on boots and go bully some Texans. I assume Texans would know that they’d lose all federal subsidies, which is the bureaucratic penalty.

Would it be safe bullying, or would those individuals be immediately targeted as clear traitors by half of the America?

The game theory doesn't add up to me despite knowing that there would be many people thinking it's a great and just idea. The first one drawing guns will be the loser.
