Run a non-custodial #lightning wallet of your choice.
Don't lure people Into custodial/kyc wallets because their app pays you a couple of sats as commission.

Run a node on a device in your home. Connect it via Zeus/Bluewallet.
I just mentioned a couple of days ago why WoS and it started as a huge discussion why and how and yes they wonβt require seed phases can just use their passwords etc..
That said I understand when you want to get someone onboard how do you start ?
I mean with do you use a cloud password manager, most likely this discussion wonβt go much further.
That said itβs a fine balance between quality vs quantity, I have been using phoenix but saw some feedback about their fees and will start with mutiny as a go.
I think a guideline would be good to start with, included some pickup lines.
I'd never do it for the sats.
I do it because it just works - seamlessly & quickly. It's a great Ux for someone's first taste of bitcoin. Download an app, hit receive & I send you permissionless money in an instant.
There's no ideal second layer solution & newbies aren't going to be running their own lightning node straight away (or ever).
It's a spending wallet, not a saving wallet.
I want the newbie to see what bitcoin could be & not what it currently is. Layer 3 solutions are coming that will have better tradeoffs.
If you're using the base layer & running your own lightning node, you are incredibly priveledged. Most people will never be able to do this.
with this logic, some purists can say "dont lure people into lightning, because they are all hot wallets"
if you want to travel with lightning and bitcoin, you may as well use something that WORKS and takes care of that rural street merchant who doesn't know if they are receiving LN or onChain btc.
There is only one LN wallet that does that.
Otherwise you risk looking like an idiot trying to use BTC while traveling.
