I have one criticism about this: why is he writing "nostr" in all lowercase? That makes it much harder to notice.

such a jealous claim ``he doesn't know better, he's ought to be with me instead of that nostr witch!'' lol

SHOULD BE ALL CAPS OBVIOUSLY

Ooo pegging

23 times 'nostr' in the article, should be all in caps

>>> NOSTR <<<

Wow that article is extremely cringe and won't age well lol

I thought the exact same thing

this is the most important paragraph in the whole endless screed:

> Thus, I think part of Jack’s negative reaction to Bluesky was that he saw that the blame and demands were still coming. But that’s inevitable. That’s how this is always going to work, even in a decentralized system. He prefers nostr because he knows that while he’s still supporting nostr people know there’s no clear person to blame, and they know that they can’t yell at him about the moderation failures (and, yes, nostr has a ton of moderation failures, with spam and scams). But, as we’re seeing with nostr, it also creates some very real limitations, especially with regards to user adoption and growth.

he almost gets it - that jack prefers nostr because its Actually Decentralised

not "Sufficiently" or "Adequately"

and another highlight:

> I like nostr as well. I think it’s cool and has some really cool development happening. Some of the new services that have popped up using nostr are great. But Bluesky has an open protocol, ATprotocol, which actually has many similarities to nostr, but in a manner that hides the technical complexities from users, making it more approachable by the average user.

EXCEPT nobody can build things that diverge from the BlueSky Corporate Vision whereas #nostr allows us to do whatever the fuck we want

and we don't have that many nazis, i think that nostr proves that nazi population is a fixed proportion and there's nothing you can do about it except empower users to filter that dogshit out

problem also is that when it's only about filtering out nazi dogshit, that usually also means elevating antifascist dogshit, which is no less dogshit to the average person

long story short, this guy doesn't really get why jack prefers nostr and why he's throwing his support to it

because nostr is not a corporation

> yes, nostr has a ton of moderation failures, with spam and scams

I think the truth is that Nostr has basically no moderation. It doesn't even fail at moderation, it just doesn't do it.

Relays can have rules, and rules against spam and scams would make sense, but the only NIP for reporting violations, right now, is terrible.

Twitter, Bluesky but not 'N'ostr, i think it's intentional

The article could have been a little bit shorter, some points are repeated too much in my opinion. However, I do see why the author has that opinion. But I don't know if he is right.

subconscious fear of Nostr.

Author is dead wrong. The future is something new, not some "censorship lite" Twitter clone. Author is thinking small, that's my 2 sats.

> notice

You mean "nostrice"?

这要从另一个角度来看。越原始越本质,“nostr”是最原始的写法,它“最正宗”😇😂。另外,那篇文重中也有“Nostr”的拼写,显然,作者是尊重了fiatjaf 所发表论文的原始思想。😆
