The approximate cost of Server + CDN is $325.00/mo

Nothing is optimized for this use yet. Let's hope we can bring these costs down.

Iris and Snort both use imgproxy backend, same in Amethyst ?

Yep. It seems to be the best one. But I think I am misusing it (too much granularity in the images phones request).

Currently using the same size for every avatar, but with browser DPI passed in so it should not very too much, then CF proxy cache

Yes really a great platform. I use it from the beginning. I asked because a resizing server is RAM hungry and on Heroku large dynos are quite pricey, perhaps a standard VPS can let you save a bit.

Which resizing/cdn did you installed?

Edge. I thought about doing it on AWS but I can't spent too much time keeping servers alive :(

Either way, this use is just for APK installers. Imagine when it hits the play store.
