Seeing as I am surrounded by whitewater, I guess I need to figure out how to go fishing. Would be a shame to not experience that.

Definitely meditative 🤌 in this case bc I have no gear and am largely unfamiliar with navigating rapids, I will hire a service for a day or something. Hopefully the price is right 😅😂
I always prefer mushroom hunting to fishing. If I could hike while fishing, then I might take it up.
This is a good idea too. I will go to the visitor's center and see if they know of any recent burns and where conifer forests are around here. I did venture out into the wilderness via forest service roads with someone and must say, I will stick to more mapped out trails myself so that might limit me.
The cool thing about forests is, there is fungal material almost everywhere you look.
What is found, may not be worth consuming or using, but it's nearly always fun to explore and learn.
