I picked up the violin at age 49 and started to learn it. I’m 51 now. I’ve had thoughts of moving into a fiddle track instead.

That’s great that you picked up the violin! I once taught a guy who started violin from scratch in his mid-60’s. It’s never too late! I studied classical violin and composition in school, but I’ve explored lots of other styles over the years… various fiddle styles for more than 20 years!!
