Just think of them as friends on your side
I barely have followers on my X account and I still get tons of spam messages. It's really annoying.
I can't imagine having thousands of followers and receiving tons of spam messages everyday. Super annoying.
This will eventually happen on Nostr too as it's gets more and more popular.
The solution is simple. Charge users in order to send you a DM. There should be an option in the settings to set your price in Satoshi. I would probably set mine to 1 Satoshi to begin with.
Setting a price in order for someone to DM others is a great way to stop spam. It would stop 99% of the spam.
If you think charging users is bad.. Once you find out the person is not a spammer. You could always return the Satoshi back to them.
Charging users for sending DMs is the future!
Nostr is also the future!
