SSDs are faster & more stable at peak use.

Flash drives usually age poorly if pushed to the limit & will throttle your speed as it heats up.

Also M.2 standard, is well, the standard - making this portable enclosure an elite companion which you can use with interchangeable m.2 SSDs of the same form factor (there's more than one form factor for m.2).

This also means you could technically slot this drive directly into a mini PC for ex.

I get it technically, I love m.2s and have several but to a normie this is just a "fast and longer lasting" USB stick

You can run a Bitcoin full node on this thing.

That's the major difference for normies to parse.

Also, you can have like 5 different drives which you can swap out for different backups.

It's also more secure bc you can store the drives out of the enclosure - not many people know what to do with naked SSD.
