Is there any reason we couldn’t have a advanced search that looks at notes, users, hashtags, communities and apps - all in a single input?

Good question... I am following the thread because I am interested in the answers

I think we'll need it anyway in the future, we often don't know what we'll need until then. So, it won't create any complexity or waste any resources if it can choose to turn off-on or separate filters.

The only reason we wouldn't want to do this is the need for more development work and time and the difficulty of UX/UI design.

I use this. Built in would be nice.

Searching through the cache, or a relay?

Could be either I guess unless you introduce relay sets which is another concept I’m exploring

There shouldn’t be. It’s pretty simple to write a single query to return all of these and group them by type.

Should be able to do this (I think) on https://search.nostr.wine or through our API (https://docs.nostr.wine). Text results though, no pretty rendering.

NIP-50 supported by filter.nostr.wine but the queries are more restricted to that spec.

Single input doesn't mean single request, search in Spring browser already works as you described

I'm still hopeful #amethyst will add a "mute keyword list" feature soon. Do any other Android clients have this already?

Like blocking a user, I just want to be able to add a list of topics I'm not interested in, and have my client suppress (not display) any messages containing any of those strings.
