I do. Usually it takes 5 to 7 days. When the seeds drop to the bottom and I don’t see much “gel” around them They are ready. But I have had no problem with germination even if I’m too early. Makes me really wonder if the fermentation is even necessary.

I find that it is a little easier and cleaner picking. Never considered that it may give them a possible germination boost.

Definitely makes it easier separating seed. I always thought there was some kind of inhibitor in the gel sac. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Seems that is legitimate. Looks like there was a fairly recent (2020) study using a weak acid soak for a short amount of time (30-60min) to simulate the fermentation process with a high degree of success.
