Yes, is very cumbersome.

Same, I stopped using it when I came to nostr.
I think mastodon is a destination and nostr is a gateway. One feels like the end and the other the beginning.
Is a good way to put it.
And nostr has a long way to go, is pretty exiting to know we could have the begging and the end all under one protocol in a few years from now.
