First time trying this... this is a meshtastic channel for the nostr folk. its MQTT enabled. so im guessing we should be able to connect. location is disabled by default. but double check so that you dont dox yourself.

I do not believe so. I set this up so that it works over the internet as well.
First time setting something like this, so not entirely sure.
My device needs to be connected to WiFi though right? And my rak 4631 doesn't have WiFi. My heltec-v3 does though. I can get that setup tomorrow.
i've never used MQTT before. i enabled wifi on my heltec. i made sure this channel was uplink and downlink enabled. i've senet messages. i guess lemme know if you get them?
i scanned the QR and tried to send a few messages in the channel, no idea if they're going anywhere. i have a max retransmission reached error.
Going to do this in a few hours. I'm a meshtastic runner configured with MQTT but no local peers. Would be nice to have something to play around with.
