I love Peter. Overhated when he was making WBD. Have to respect a dude who isn't afraid to speak up.
30s is absolutely brutal oml. I've sent a few payments IRL before that took more than 10s and it gets very awkward very quickly.
Slow payment from a cashu wallet is more indicative of the mint than the wallet itself right?
nostr:nprofile1qqsvdc3s5f0260zfwqfkx7lnw77wmqw8ekmqmzq6v0kmzw9s32ngpqcfwuxkg has a little percentage-loading-slider-thing when you send payments. It's a great little visual thing to see that the wallet is actually doing something.
very interested to watch, havent heard your thoughts in a long time
can't pick 1 because they have different strengths/weaknesses/purposes BUT (in no particular order):
Bull
Misty Breez
Blitz
Phoenix
If I have to pick just 1 for a newb it's nostr:nprofile1qqsvdc3s5f0260zfwqfkx7lnw77wmqw8ekmqmzq6v0kmzw9s32ngpqcfwuxkg
Bull because it's the better version of Aqua

Do you have to ask to pay in sats or is there just an option on the screen?
If you don't have at least 8 bars of Soap Miner soap you're ngmi
Government are a bunch of clowns

Talking about fucking spam/knots
ok but for the customer, what is the actual use case. the customer doesnt pay fees when using a credit/debit card. the target audience of this feature is people who understand bitcoin but dont want to pay with it, paying a merchant who primarily wants to accept bitcoin. what's the addressable market? a few thousand people, maybe?
Perhaps I'm mid curving this but I don't understand the significance of this. Who is gonna pay a bitcoin invoice that doesn't already have sats?
No

Congrats on 2.0! Small UI bug on the new APK, the advanced option is half visible

nostr:npub1nhjnmg9kl6yvehemr9638nsyvtpjtt39r2ketlt7h77pd2y6dqqscnxfyh I can't add cashu.me addresses LN addresses to the contact pages cuz they're too long. Mine shows 14 characters over the limit.
Onboarded a bitcoiner a few months ago who had never used a lightning wallet before. Blitz was the only wallet I felt comfortable recommending because:
-available on app stores and both android/iOS (essential for easy recommendation)
-simple onboarding (not bombarding with key management right out the gate)
-LNURL/QR to quickly send some sats
-spark integration now means I don't have to worry about "what if they get rugged" on their first touch point
-contact book (needs to be standard across all bitcoin payment apps)
Nah I like the BIP177 format
I still wouldn't feel comfortable having a non-psychopath use Zeus, especially as a first wallet. That's just not the market.
I was told we should be onboarding cab drivers vis Zeus and Blixt?
You weren't required to use it
Once this is live I can actually recommend Maple to average paying chatGPT/Gemini users in good faith. Good on y'all!
No lol. But it will bring it closer to feature parity, which is nice.

Here are some of my favorites after consulting AI:

I always find the answers to ELI5 funny cuz the people who respond have clearly never spoken to a 5 year old

Real talk, the v4v talk on Nostr drives me nuts. I don't zap much cuz reading shitposts isn't valuable to me. Almost all my zaps are exclusively for software releases. That's the only stuff I personally find worth my sats. Maybe that's just me tho.
Does amber work without network permission? I thought it had to communicate with a relay still
As far as I'm aware, apps not natively signed by the dev are instead signed by nostr:nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgzqtdq0 and you have to wait for him to sign the latest apk. If you use Obtainium, you're pulling the updated apk straight from GitHub.
app idea:
scan a grocery barcode and/or ingredients list. inform you if there are things like seed oils, dyes, hard-to-process ingredients, allergens, etc.
does this exist?
