This is not unusual in the classic car restoration world. Not many understand so it shocks people a bit when they see what looks like a piece of junk sell for $14K

I was at a shop here in LA when they rolled this in… it was already sold and they wouldn’t tell me the exorbitant price paid

Oof I can only imagine. I don't even know how much an unrestored 912 costs these days. The range is all over the place.
