why?

because while indidual actors obviously did their best to manipulate the price for their own benefit in the short term, it always corrects & keeps heading up as the fiat printer goes brrr & more ppl wake up & opt out...

it is still the only instance of a real free-market price discovery mechanism at work, probably since 1913... maybe even since 1815...
