Bitcoin maximalism, although "toxic" to some people, seems like a necessary cultural defense mechanism in an environment full of scammers attempting to ride the coattail of legitimate, useful technology.

Frankly, it saved me very quickly from being scammed early in my adoption journey. My shitcoin phase was very short thanks to toxic maxis warning me of the sinister shit going on in the space.

I don't know what else to say. Yeah, there are some dumb fucks even in the Bitcoin maxi realm, but it seems to be a force for good overall.

The part that seems to piss people off is maxi-stubbornness.

But that stubbornness is cradled by sound principles backed by bigger thinkers than you or I as well as centuries of examples to base them on.

If one has an issue with a maxi-principle, they better come armed to the teeth to defend and support their alternative.

I've always been the type to learn without getting burned. It's a key part of my personality and has been since childhood. I don't know why, but I would always find books or people before me for guidance before doing critical things. I think it's served me well.

I'm probably one of the few maxis who mostly likes Peter Schiff. I think we'd be better off with him on our side. He could be dishonest, but I don't think he is. I just think he is misguided.

I agree with you... even bitcoin maxi has sometimes sin of arrogance and presumption but they are necessary to not get slapped in the face from shitcoin scammers 🤷‍♂️

For example, I am a Bitcoin maxi but would use something better if it came along. I haven't seen that yet and I'm skeptical of it happening at this point. Therefore, I am a maxi behind the best. My maximalism is not dogmatic, and is entirely based on critical thinking and analysis. Most Bitcoin maximalism I encountered early on was the same.

To be extra clear, when I say dumb fucks, I mean actual fiat maxis who screech and claim to be Bitcoin maxis without having any idea why they are other than because someone else told them to be because NGU. I didn't mean to imply that blind faith is good for anything. I'm actually anti-faith and pro-reason and evidence.
